NNK specializes in custom metric and standard oil seals, rotary shaft seals, grease seals, wiper seals, end cap VK-HP seals, V-seals (V-rings), U-packing seals and Gamma rings for a wide range of industries and applications. Oil seals are also known as shaft seals, radial oil seals and lip seals. Rotary oil seals are designed to separate the space between components in mechanical equipment.
Oil seals are used to seal around rotary shafts and keep oil-based lubricants inside the axle, engine, etc. Grease seals are used to seal more viscous grease lubricants in rotary shaft applications. Simply put, oil seals are barriers that perform four functions; retain lubricant or fluid, exclude contaminants, separate fluids and limit pressure. These seals help keep machines running as smoothly as possible. NNK Custom Oil Seals' oil seals can be used on any type of hydraulic oil sealing machinery; pumps, automobiles, cylinder manufacturers, etc.
NNK Custom Oil Seals offers rotary oil seals and shaft seals in a variety of styles, sizes and materials to fit your application. Our selection of fluid sealing products are available in a wide range of rubber polymers including Nitrile Rubber (NBR), Viton ®, Fluoroelastomer (FKM), Silicone (VMQ), Neoprene®, Chloroprene (CR), EPDM, Polyacrylic (ACM), SBR, Fluorosilicone (FVMQ), Polyurethane (AU/EU) hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) and methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ). Our oil seals are made from the highest quality springs and housings made of carbon steel, stainless steel or FDA approved stainless steel. All products are manufactured to ASTM D2000 standards and NNK can provide custom oil and rotary shaft seals to your OEM drawings and specifications.
If you are unsure of the style of oil seal you need, feel free to send us an actual sample of your seal and NNK will reverse engineer the seal for you. We offer cost effective alternatives to brand name seals and are able to consistently provide our customers with quality seals at a significant cost savings. The most common seal styles are; TC, SC, TA, SA, TB, SB and VC. seal types TA, SA, TB and SB all have bare steel on their OD width. NNK can handle different options of widths; ground OD, highly polished bright steel, coated OD with rubber to fill small cracks in the OD housing. Other types of common seals have rubber covered OD widths.
